CHIROPRACTIC THERAPY UPDATES:

Please read the following carefully as this is the standards for in-person chiropractic care during the COVID-19 Pandemic:
You must schedule an appointment for an in-person treatment. Unscheduled, drop-in treatment is not permitted.
When you schedule in-person treatment with the chiropractor, Dr. Chris Csabai, we need to assess your risk for COVID-19 infection through a screening questionnaire prior to visiting the clinic.
The chiropractor must interview you over the phone or using internet communications (email). You cannot be interviewed in person. If you schedule an appointment using the Book Online button, the screening questionnaire and further guidance can be viewed there and answers provided in the "Extra Info / Comments" section, as this will be the most efficient and convenient way. With an online booking, this will alert the chiropractor and if needed, he will communicate with you from there. Alternatively, you may call the clinic at 604-299-7199 and leave a message. However, due to circumstances of reduced clinic hours and limited receptionist hours, it may take up to 2 days to return your call. We apologize for the inconvenience.
When you arrive for your appointment, we have hand sanitizer available and ask that you wear a mask for your visit.

We kindly request that if you are feeling ill in any way, you refrain from entering our clinic until you have been cleared by a medical professional. Please visit BC Centre for Disease Control for more up to date measures against COVID-19.

Getting ready for the holidays!

During the holidays, it is common to get busy and out of routine. We all have to be careful as it's not just those extra few pounds that we have to worry about but also the vulnerability of our tissues and old physical complaints/injuries. Very commonly, a large number of the visits people make to my office are for back and neck pain during this time. They often say, "lately I have been so busy and have had no time" to stop and stretch and apply a cold pack even though they were aware of the pain in the area 'brewing.' I advise we have to make time to react earlier than later to these signs. It can save you time and money and reduce the number of visits to my office or sometimes even resolve it quickly.

Tips to avoid foot &/or leg problems in the summer.

It seems that every summer patients will return to my office with foot and or lower leg pains. Many of these issues begin because the better weather makes one choose "summer footwear." Most of these types of footwear have less support for the feet. By choosing better supportive footwear during extended periods of activity, this can lessen the chances for painful problems from developing.

Tips to help your back when starting yard work.

Looks like the weather is beginning to improve. This means we all are thinking about starting yard work. I think the key tip most forget to think about is that this task causes you to stay bent forward at the waist for way too long. For some individuals, this begins their misalignment and can cause back stiffness and even spasms.

Holiday Tips for Avoiding Pain & Inflammation

The Holiday season is always busy. But with a physical complaint like developing back and neck pain you must make time for it. Although we are in a cold season, applying a cold pack wrapped in a thin towel to the area for 15 minutes and repeated every two hours could greatly help you. This also tends to reduce the number of visits that a patient needs to see me for since pain signalling and inflammation cause the body to compensate poorly.
